I'm currently packing and trying to get some homework done before I leave for Texas tomorrow. Me and my boy will be driving 12 hours to El Paso to see my mom for Thanksgiving. I'm pretty sure I won't have Internet access there which is not good for checking emails and such. I'll leave you with some inspiration from WEheartIT. I just saw a link to the website and it is truly awesome. Hope you enjoy it! And have a very happy Thanksgiving!

Crafty Weekend
Here are a few completed Granny Square clutches from Rachel and Elsie's Autumn class. These are going to be gifts for the special gals in my life.
I'm hoping this weekend is a very productive and creative weekend. I have to shoot fruit for my stock photography class and only have a couple of good ideas. I don't know, sometimes the creativity comes out of me at the last minute. Yesterday I was able to write 2 papers for class in under 2 hours. Yay me! Only one more paper to go but there's no pressure there. I just know I won't do my homework when I'm away for Thanksgiving.
Is your X-mas also going to be a handmade Christmas? If so, What are your ideas?
I'll post more pictures when I get more gifts done.
In the meantime, I'm soooooo excited for this:
I think I've mentioned before that since I learned to crochet, I haven't been able to stop. After a while, I got tired of making granny squares and decided to try scarves. After a looking at a few videos on youtube, I couldn't find anything useful so I kind of tried my own way.
And this is what I came up with. I was trying to do the chunky scarf thing and I think they came out ok. These are also going to be X-Mas gifts for friends and family.I'm hoping this weekend is a very productive and creative weekend. Dainty Squid Giveaway
I've been a follower of Kaylah's blog since I found the perfect camera coin pouch on Etsy. I think she leads the perfect life, making pouches, coin purses and clutches. Not to mention she also has cats and loves them dearly. Make sure to visit her blog and enter her giveaway for a chance to win one of these babies:
I'm trying really hard to finish projects that I started and to make new ones for X-Mas. I finally finished my cover to my RVA 2010 planner and I'm currently working on finishing granny square clutches (RVA Atumn class) for my friends and family as gifts. My goal is to hopefully finish my gifts at least for my family by this weekend because Thanksgiving is already next weekend and I have to travel to Texas to visit. Since that's probably the only time I'll get to see them for the holidays, I can just give them their gifts then. Good thing it will only be my two sisters and my mom that I have to worry about.

Cloudy Day
Today seems to be a semi-rainy day. It's cloudy and it sprinkled for a bit and that was enough for me to head home, make some hot chocolate and watch old black and white movies. I only have time to do that for a little bit then I have to write a paper. Boooo.

So, ever since I learned to crochet, (last week) I haven't been able to stop making granny squares. Right now, that's the only thing I know how to do. I decided I wanted to make a baby blanket for my cousin's new baby boy and since I can't read patterns yet, I just made this huge granny square.
I still have a ways to go. I just want to get it done in time for Christmas. I also went and bought new yarn to hopefully get motivated to start new projects with crocheting.

I'm Back!
I came back on Halloween night after 12 hours either in an airplane or at an airport and me and my boyfriend were too tired to go to any parties so we ordered Chinese and caught up on tv shows. I started school again on Monday and I'm excited about it. Well, only my photography class. Over my trip though, I learned to crochet! I'm an ace with granny squares now...and that's about it. Right now I'm making a baby blanket for my cousin's new baby boy and it's going to be one huge granny square. I will post pics of it soon. In the meantime, here is a link of where I learned the basics of starting a granny square. It's a awesome tutorial because thelady goes really slow.
