Best Day Ever!!!

So this week I got my new and first sewing machine, learned to use it and made stuff with it. Jessica Dooley from The Sewing Lounge gave me lessons along with teaching me how to make a tote.

I finished making my apron for Rachel and Elsie's online "Pretty" class.

And I got this in the mail today

Playing "Catch Up"

Now that I have a short break from school, I have been able to catch up on my "Pretty" online class projects. Here are a few that I've done so far:

And I bought these mini coaster-looking thingies. I guess I can use them as coasters and I embroidered those as well. Patterns once again by the very talented Elsie Flannigan.

Why My Dad Is So Awesome!

My dad has this habit of going to swap meets and finding the most awesome ceramic decorations. He has a huuuge collection in his apartment. So one day I decided I wanted some of his "stash" and these are some things he let me have. I love them!



I got these bracelets at a local vintage shop.


And these brooches belonged to my mom which she let me have.

My Favorite Color Combo

My favorite color combo would have to be turquoise/aqua, pink and brown. This was my first time cross stitching, that's why there are so many mistakes. The pattern is from Martha Stewart's website.

This entry is for The Spark challenge. I'm glad I stumbled upon their blog because after taking Rachel and Elsie's Pretty Online class, I want to continue to create cute things while still communicating and sharing with my classmates. I think their blog is a great idea and I think it's just the thing I need for constant motivation and inspiration. So with that said, here are the 5 things I'm thankful for...
