Me Loves the Dresses
I love Forever 21!!! I especially love their inexpensive dresses. I love ModCloth to death but sometimes I can't afford their merch. Forever is where I go when I need a cute summery dress for not a lot of money. Here are a few of my favorite dresses.

Handmade
I just started a project that I'm sure my cats will love. Jack likes to sleep on my clothes and Batman just loves to hide in suitcases. I found this suit case for $4. It barely closes so I can't use it so it's perfect for my kitties.
I want to make some cat toys and hang them on the suitcase. I'm trying to get some ideas of what to make. I decided to search on Etsy for inspiration:
Simple and Cute!
Cute, right?
I really love the print on these toys.
Of course, I got the idea from vintagerenaissance.
I wanted one of these really bad but couldn't afford it. I didn't add the legs on mine because I want it to be more of a travel bed. Wish me luck.

Faux Polaroids
So, the other day my classmate was telling me about an application that takes your digital pictures and turns them into "Polaroids". When you download the application a Polaroid camera comes up and you just drag a picture on it. It's sooo awesome because it makes the noise and takes a while to develop like a real Polaroid camera.
Check it out HERE.

Homework, Homework, Homework
Why is is taking me so long to get my paper done?! I only have to write one page which will be the begining of a bigger paper. My subject is Mark Ryden and Romanticism. I'm pretty excited because it gave me an excuse to go and buy his book The Tree Show for "research". Maybe one of the reasons I can't get my homework done is because I'm too busy taking pictures of my homework, posting on the blog and checking out everyone else's blog. Better get back to work, almost done, I have 1/2 a page left.

Kern River
I went white water rafting a week ago and it was so much fun. Here are some pictures from my trip.
Man Overboard!!!
Afterwards, we went to check in at our campsite. Oh...my...gosh! The "campsite" was a huge dirt parking lot and our site was right next to a large trash can and a port-a-potty. Ahh the great outdoors. We decided we definitely were not going to stay there. We were very unhappy that there were no refunds so we lost that money but that was better than "camping" right next to other strange people. We finally decided to drive around and find something for free. After 2 hours we were feeling that was going to be impossible and were close to going home. We finally found the perfect place where we camped about 5 feet away from the river (you're not supposed to camp within 25 feet of the river) but it was only one night. It ended up being really awesome and beautiful.
For those of you out there in the SoCal region who might want to go white water rafting, the place NOT to go is Frandy in Kernville. I kept hearing that King's river is the place to go.

Bookmark Tutorial
Hi there. This is my first tutorial ever and I came up with it last night. Ever wonder what to do with those pesky subscription cards you find in magazines? I came up with the idea when I was looking at the subscription cards for JPG Magazine. They were so pretty that I didn't want to throw them away so I decided to make something out of them.
Here's what you'll need:
-scissors
-hole punch
-clear packing tape or laminator
-contact paper
-yarn or ribbon
-pencil
-stickers or embellishments
-ruler (not pictured)
-and of course, subscription cards

-and of course, subscription cards
So the first thing you'll want to do is cut the subscription card in half and cover one half with the clear packaging tape on both sides or laminate it. Make sure to trim off the excess tape off.
The next thing you'll want to do is punch a hole at the top of your "bookmark"
then add yarn or ribbon
I braided my strands of yarn just so it won't fray.
Hmmmm, now what to do about the other half of the card?
I will cover the other half of the card with contact paper since there are no pretty images on this one. Trace the card on the back of the contact paper, twice. (For the front and back)

Now, looks like mine is a little crooked since I can't see where the card is in the middle but that's ok, that's what the next step is for.
I have an old picture cropper that I used to straighten out my bookmark but you can use a ruler and an exacto knife to cut a straight line.
Next, you punch a hole at the top and repeat as with the first bookmark (I added ribbon this time), and embellish with stickers or paint, pretty much anything you want. I used Elsie's Neverland stickers because they are sooo cute. I bought them from her RVA store. I'm not sure if they are still in stock, if not there are plenty more cute things you can buy there.
Tadaaa! Handmade recycled bookmarks. Hope you have fun creating and coming up with your twist on the bookmark.
