Right now, I'm also working on one of these:
I've never done amigurumi before so I'm excited to learn something new other than granny squares. I'm almost done- I just need to work on the body. On my first try, it started to look like a cone. I need to figure out what I'm doing wrong. Click on the image if you want to find out more about it.
Well, I'm off to join my classmate. We need to put a rough cut together for our documentary. It's not the best feeling since I'm sick, my head feels like it's going to explode, my sinuses hurt and I can't hear that well. yay :/
Happy Monday!

Hi! I am also doing the owl crochet-along and I found your blog on the list of participants.
ReplyDeleteI have a few suggestions your your vacation! Definitely stop in San Francisco, if you haven't seen some sites there check out the Presidio, Fisherman's Wharf, Golden Gate Park, Height Street, and if you have time Alcatraz!
Portland would be cool to stroll around as well, check out the downtown area and the artsy Pearl District. Then head NW to 23rd and 21st street in the NW District off of Everett St., there are a lot of cool shops and eateries there.
I haven't been much further than Portland, but Seattle should be pretty cool to check out too!
Have fun! Can't wait to see some owls!
Oooooh, I'm intrigued. I've been to San Fran before but I'm so excited for Portland. Thank you so much for the info.
ReplyDeleteI love those owls! I wish i could crochet!
ReplyDeletehello from the rva 'tell your story' class! i am working on my amigurumi owl too, and it is my first attempt at amigurumi as well. hopefully it will go well :D love your blog!

Thank you so much Kathryn! Good luck on the owl, at least we have about 2 months to finish it.
ReplyDeleteI'm driving from LA to Portland those same days. We are going REALLY slow, though! :) Just sayin' hi from Tell Your Story!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome Karisse! I think we might fly back on the 4th because we might get tired of driving at that point.
ReplyDeleteOkay so I've been looking through blogs all day (how lame so I sound already) Anyway, yours is probably my favorite. SO nicely done I can tell you but lots of thought and effort into it!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Paige, that means a lot to me and I'm so flattered. And don't worry, I have a huuuuge list of blogs that I read everyday.
ReplyDeleteThen we're on the same page here. Hahah, it's really very lovely. I love the banner. It took me forever to decide on a banner.
